A meeting is held between the AIDA organization and actors of  “Association of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants ” (AMAP).

On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, a round table was held between the AIDA agency and various actors of  “Association of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants” (IBMA).

In this discussion, the representative of the “Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Industry”, at the same time the chairman of this association, Mr. Filip Gjoka, took the welcome speech, where he described how the situation of this sector is and the plans, strategies and projects that must be implemented for further develop because this is very important sector of the economy and exports.

The “IBMA” organization develop trainings related to alkaloids and pesticides.

Poisonous plants (alkaloids) and pesticides have emerged as one of the most important problems facing our market. The “IBMA” organization has become aware of this problem by undertaking a project for the training of farmers and collectors.

The project is the training of farmers to reduce the use of pesticides strictly prohibited by the EU and the cleaning and elimination of poisonous plants in the fields of cultivation or in wild aromatic and medicinal plants that were collected in different areas of our country. The training is taking place in every area of Albania from the Malesia e madhe with the sage plots to the South of Albania.

Business Associations and Exporters meeting with Financial and Economic Ministry.

On Thursday, May 11, 2023, a meeting was held between Business Associations and Exporters and Ministers of Finance and Economy and the Governor of the Albanian Bank. The purpose of this meeting was the devaluation of the euro.

In order to help the exporters of our country, from this meeting it was agreed that:
For businesses that export more than 70% of their turnover, the government guarantees:
1. VAT refund for only 3 days.
2. “Freezing” for exporters in non-payment of profit tax installments for the remaining period of 2023.

NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE IBMA ASSOCIATION (AMAP).

The Association of the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Industry “IBMA” organizes on April 11, 2023 in the premises of the “Xibraku” Resort, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the national conference of the “Medicinal and Aromatic Plants” industry.

In this conference, there will be a wide participation of members of the Association of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, farmers, collectors, processors and exporters of plants and herbs.

They will also honor us with their participation in this conference: the Prime Minister of our country, Mr. Edi Rama, the Ministry of Agriculture and Entrepreneurship, the Diplomatic representative, representatives of various Business Associations, various media, etc.

This conference will be the largest and most important of the “Association of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants” ever held in Albania.

The topics of discussion will be the problems faced by the industry and opportunities to further develop this important sector of Albania.
